Privacy Policy

What LiveOrder reads from your Clover account, what it stores, how long it keeps it, and how to have it removed.

Last updated

This page is a plain-language summary of how LiveOrder handles data. It is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by your own counsel before you rely on it as the published policy for your business.

Who we are

LiveOrder provides kitchen display and order display software for restaurants using Clover point of sale. The service is operated from https://liveorders.app and https://liveorder.nsoweb.com. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect from you

  • Account details — your name, email address, business name and password hash.
  • Billing details — handled by our payment processor. We store a plan, a status and the last four digits of a card. Full card numbers never reach our systems.
  • Usage data — which screens were active, which users bumped which tickets, and error logs used to diagnose faults.

What we read from Clover

When you connect a Clover merchant account, LiveOrder is granted read access to your orders, line items, modifiers, item catalog and locations, plus the ability to write fulfillment state back to an order so that bumping a ticket updates the POS.

LiveOrder does not have, and does not request, the ability to:

  • Take payments, issue refunds or access any tender
  • See cardholder data — card details never pass through our systems
  • Change prices, edit your menu or delete orders
  • Access employee payroll, banking or tax information held in Clover

Guest information

Orders sometimes carry a guest first name or an order number. Where they do, LiveOrder displays them on kitchen and customer-facing screens so staff and guests can identify an order. LiveOrder does not collect guest payment details, addresses or contact information, and the customer-facing order display never shows items, prices or totals.

How the data is used

  • To render live kitchen and customer displays
  • To calculate prep, drive-thru and accuracy reporting for your locations
  • To provide support when you ask for it
  • To bill your subscription and prevent abuse

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your order data to build products for anyone other than you.

How long it is kept

Order and timing data is retained for the life of your subscription and for 30 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted. You can export any range to CSV at any time, including during that 30-day window. If you want your data deleted sooner, email us and we will action it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on managed infrastructure in the United States. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it for support, and those actions are logged.

Cookies

The marketing site at https://liveorders.app sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The application at https://liveorder.nsoweb.com sets a session cookie so you stay signed in; it is required for the service to function.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will email account holders before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
