Terms of Service

The agreement covering your LiveOrder subscription: trials, billing, acceptable use, availability and cancellation.

Last updated

This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Have your own counsel review it before publishing it as the binding terms for your business.

1. The agreement

These terms apply between LiveOrder ("we", "us") and the business that creates an account ("you"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

2. The service

LiveOrder provides kitchen display, order display, order tracking, timing and accuracy reporting software that connects to a Clover merchant account. The service is delivered over the internet and requires a working connection and a compatible browser. LiveOrder is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of Clover Network, LLC.

3. Trials

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with access to all features. No payment card is required to begin. At the end of the trial you choose a plan; if you do not, access to the boards ends and your data is retained for 30 days in case you return. Nothing is charged unless you select a paid plan.

4. Fees and billing

  • Subscriptions are billed per location, in advance, on a monthly cycle.
  • Screens and user accounts are unlimited and not separately charged.
  • Adding a location mid-cycle is prorated; removing one takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes never apply retroactively.
  • Fees are exclusive of any applicable sales tax or VAT.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from the dashboard. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not prorate refunds for partial months. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Keep account credentials secure and give each staff member their own login.
  • Ensure you have the right to connect the Clover account you connect.
  • Do not attempt to breach, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful.

7. Your data

Order, timing and accuracy data generated through your use of LiveOrder belongs to you. We process it to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export it to CSV at any time, including after cancellation and within the 30-day retention window.

8. Availability

We aim for continuous availability and maintain the service accordingly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside typical service hours wherever possible and announced in advance. Because kitchen displays remain usable and queue their actions during a connection loss, brief interruptions do not stop your kitchen from working.

9. Third-party dependencies

LiveOrder depends on Clover's platform to receive orders. If Clover changes or restricts its platform, or your Clover account is suspended, parts of the service may become unavailable through no fault of ours. Where that happens we will tell you promptly and work with you on the options.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost sales.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account for non-payment after notice, or immediately for activity that threatens the security or integrity of the service. You may terminate at any time under section 5.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
